Adelaide Firm Win Exclusive Manufacturing
Contract from World's Leading Agricultural Machinery Parts

GKN Walterscheid GmbH, Lohmar, Germany, the world's
leading manufacturer of agricultural driveline systems has granted Adelaide
based Jayben Australia Pty Ltd, an exclusive license to manufacture Walterscheid
machinery parts.
Jayben, a company with forty years' experience in
the manufacture of agricultural driveline equipment, will initially manufacture
the higher volume Walterscheid power take off shafts and related
componentry.
Expanded range and distribution for
Australia and Pacific Region
Walterscheid Australia Pty Ltd and Jayben Australia
Pty Ltd have combined their resources to form a manufacturing and marketing
organisation to handle the complete range of Walterscheid products in the
Pacific area.
Walterscheid products include a full range of state
of the art driveline systems as well as PTO driveshafts, clutches, guard
systems, gearboxes and tractor attachment systems. The Jayben range includes
ancillary PTO shaft accessories and spares for Jayben designed
shafts.
Barry McFadzean, managing director of Walterscheid
Australia Pty Ltd for the past fourteen years says " We are delighted with the
German decision to permit local manufacture. It displays the high degree of
confidence in Australia's manufacturing excellence and demonstrates their faith
in the future markets of the Pacific area."
According to Jayben's managing director, Ken
Johnson, "This agreement makes Jayben Australia's only
agricultural PTO shaft manufacturer. As a result, the Royal Park factory will be
expanded to cater for increased production."
Jayben will not only change over completely to the
Walterscheid design but as part of its expansion will also continue to upgrade
it's manufacturing and equipment and techniques. The world leading quality
control standards exercised by the German company will be strictly applied by
the Australian compan.
